Song in Phillip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams trailer?
The trailer has dropped for Amazon‘s new original anthology series and it looks very intriguing. Three things make up a good trailer to me. Story, visuals and the music. As soon as the trailer comes on my ears perked up. My first thoughts are what’s that song? After a little research it is in fact M83. The song is Coloring the Void by M83. If you have Apple Music you can just add the song here. If not you can check the song out on YouTube here. Go ahead and vibe out to that for awhile then come back here when your done.
The trailer starts out with people walking up a hill, and a cool voice over. Then we cut a man who seems to be in a place that’s separate from space and time. At least that’s what I got from that image. Then we cut to a purple nebula looking cloudy sky, a spaceship, and what looks like the back of an android. A woman’s face appears and then a voice whispers “but here there will always be mystery.” At this point I’m super sold. If Amazon didn’t already have all my money, I would gladly give it to them.
The second song that plays during the trailer is The Fall by APM001. You can also find that song on Apple Music or YouTube. It has a cool Blade Runner vibe to it. Both songs lend themselves really well to the subject matter of the show. The anthology’s all star cast consist of Anna Paquin, Terrence Howard, Greg Kinnear, Steve Buschemi, Janelle Monáe, Essie Davis, Bryan Cranston, and Richard Madden. The show looks like it’s going to be nothing short of amazing. Check out the official trailer below and then spend the rest of your day listening to those songs on repeat.
